This is the 2nd of two E.Ps featuring Extended Mixes from Pure Trance Vol. 5. First is Russell G’s epic ‘Driven’, constructed around an infectious, intricate lead melody. Precise & inventive drum programming relentlessly ‘drives’ (see what we did there?) the track forward – it is definitely one for the tougher floors. Second is another in a series of collaborations between these two Romanian producers, Suncatcher & Exolight. An Andy Moor-esque progressive bassline is order of the day, in fact this track could be classed as ‘Prog-Lifting’ if that were not such an awkward tag. Regardless of genre-specifics, a beautiful sun-kissed melody is the beauty within ‘Nothing Like You’ – it’s definitely one for the dreamers.
