After a long absence we bid a very welcome return to our Russian friend Arthur Albertovich aka Artur – with his follow-up to his debut ‘Rays’. ‘Wonderland’ has a real feel of Trance’s halcyon days, when tracks were way simpler and more transparent. Think Paul van Dyk’s early productions if you want a reference. At home or in the car they sound smooth and immersive but – played at the right moment on a big club sound system – their depth & power becomes released by having fewer elements. ‘Deceptively spacious’ is a good description.
