Paul Sawyer (Krafted, Perfecto) recently celebrated 30 years as a DJ, a monumental achievement in our industry, so congratulations Paul! For Gold he teams up with New Zealander Carla Werner, whose most notable releases include the seminal Southern Sun (with Paul Oakenfold) and her wonderful album Departure [Colombia].
Gold is a beautiful 124 bpm pop-tinged progressive trance record with a soaring vocal from the wonderful Carla Werner. Paul has really outdone himself with the instrumentation of this one, with lush strings, some neat keyboard work and a really outstanding arrangement.
