Anssi Hohti is probably Finland’s most under-rated producer, with +40 single releases over the past decade every trance fan knows what he sounds like, but aside from that he is something of an enigma – which makes us focus more closely on the music itself. This is his 15th release with the ILikeItPure label family, and as with every Allende release it is noteworthy and deserves attention. An earthy, ambitious release indeed, taking its inspiration from the early Platipus days. ‘Horizon Painter’ is an authentic musical ‘journey’, one you can really get inside & surrender to, immersing in its beautiful chord progressions and intricacies.
