When it comes to production, Cleveland’s Brian McCalla is a hardware nerd, and he likes to tell a story in his productions. ‘Stones’ is one such story, it shifts from emotional hands-in-the-air moments to heads-down kick & bass with ease, the melodic hooks are understated & the collective elements subtle – but the cumulative impact is substantial. This is a stand-out cut from Solarstone’s Pure Trance Vol. 10, Disc 2 and one for both classic & 2.0 trance floors.
