California-born, Tokyo-based Derek Ryan [FSOE, AVA, Outburst] has made a name for himself with an emotional and captivating sound that’s based on a simple mantra – blissfully heartbreaking music. He certainly knows what works on the trance-floor, being former resident at the legendary Ruby Skye in Los Angeles, as well as his history with some of Japan’s best clubs – ageHa, Womb, & Warp.
‘Heart Logic’ has been a staple ID in Solarstone’s sets over the past 6 months, perfectly tuned for the Pure Trance family at 138bpm with its understated, beautifully melodic hook & an addictive, Balearic vocal sample.
