Enigma State is a project from Manchester-based Nathan Stealey. The E.S. concept rolls back the clock to the pre-VST days, when Trance producers used hardware to create their music. It was a different world back then, and the classic instruments, FX, sequencers & production tricks employed by Nathan create a particular ‘sound’ which is synonymous with late nineties trance.
Nathan created this special mix of ‘Waiting for You’ especially for Activa’s ‘Movement’ compilation which was released recently by Black Hole. At the suggestion of label boss Solarstone, Nathan stripped the track back and focused on the hypnotic, raw ingredients, creating something perfect for those long, intense & sweaty strobe-propelled club nights.
