Marcus Schossow & Matthew Felner are gardenstate (small g). Schossow is of course a man whose production & DJ credentials need no introduction. Felner is widely known in industry circles as one of the men behind the New York promoter powerhouse Esscala. What they share is a love of subterranean, brooding grooves fused with infectious yet understated melodies.
‘Bloom’ treads a similar sonic path to previous outings ‘Indigo’ and ‘Blur’ with some extra melodic substance added to the mix. Solarstone’s Retouch ups the tempo and simplifies the melodic content, resulting in a punchy, powerful and defiantly optimistic-sound.
