Ankara-born Actor & musician Hazal Benli is well known in her native country of Turkey from her TV work, and she produced ‘Sea’, her first release, during a break from filming in the pandemic lockdown. The spoken words are from a poem by 13th century mystic Mevlana Rumi of whom Hazal is a keen follower. Says Hazal: “The idea of executing spirituality with digital and electronic sounds is something that excites me’ – and the gorgeous 120bpm ‘Sea’ is certainly a little ‘mystical’ with its spiraling arpeggios and pulsing electronic sounds. Welcome, Hazal, to the Pure family!
