Arizona’s finest progressive export Brenden LaBonte aka Forerunners emerges into 2024 in collaboration with Ireland’s Chris Cargo (Choo-Choo, Renaissance, Whoop, If You Wait). The resulting 123bpm ‘Cognitive Dissonance’ kicks off with Forerunners’ trademark hypnotic groove & morphing drones. Soon, however, Cargo’s input comes to the fore, with layers of sharp-toothed synths and transitory vocal inflections, all majestically woven together.
